Dr. Sumita Chakraborti has been practicing in the Austin area for 16 years. Dr. Sumita, as she likes to be called, grew up in Cedar Park and graduated from UT Austin in 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She then attended Baylor College of Dentistry, Texas A&M Health Science Center in Dallas, receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2006.
Dr. Sumita sold her private practice in Steiner Ranch in November 2017. Her husband passed from a rare cancer in early 2018, and she took a little time to care for her family. She returned to practice towards the end of 2018 and joined Dr. Ueckert’s team in August 2021.
Dr. Sumita enjoys time with her family. She and her new husband Mike stay busy building their new blended family. Together they have three kids, Mia (18), Anand (14), and Jax (7).
